Ex matria, in Latin, means from something or out of the materials at hand. It is said that the universe and everything in it was created ex nihilo, or out of nothing; save one thing. Humans, or so the story goes, are the only thing in this universe that were not created ex nihilo; but rather man and women were created ex materia. We were created out of material that already existed and were readily available.
This distinction is important. We as artists also create our art ex materia. Whether it is on stage or screen, in water colours, pastels, or oils; if it is with a camera, or on a lathe. Because we humans were created  ex materia, in turn we can create ex materia. our only limitation is our own imagination. who we areBy day we work as theatre technicians, film technicians, photographers, artists, wig makers, makeup artists, and prosthetic artists. by night we work as theatre technicians, film technicians, photographers, artists, wig makers, makeup artists, and prosthetic artists. This is what we do and not who we are.

Who we are is . . .

We are creative, dynamic, free thinking, and ingenious people. We are not hampered by time and space, our medium is anything and everything. we try hard not to pigeon hole our selves into one design/artistic method or medium. Artistic diversity and creativity is what we strive towards.
